Baggage Cart Localization System
The Baggage Cart Localization System serves to determine the location and quantity of baggage carts and other moveable objects – e.g. for service & security staff, ambulance personnel, passenger transportation carts, porter carts – from anywhere within the airport premises. For this, every baggage cart or object that is to be identified is fitted with an RFID transponder. This enables the airport operator to keep precise track of the number of baggage carts or any other object fitted with a RFID transponder in a particular zone. For instance, service personnel are deployed only when and where needed, which represents a considerable saving of time and money.Baggage Cart Maintenance System
The Baggage Cart Maintenance System is a flexible, customizable, and expandable fleet management system for baggage carts. In cooperation with the customer, the maintenance system is designed for the needs of each individual airport, and offers an efficient management of the baggage cart fleet. This system gives the airport operator a permanent overview on the current status of the baggage carts. Moreover, it generates a status report about the maintenance history of each baggage cart and the whole fleet, e.g. which part was changed when and by whom. It offers statistics for managing a dynamic spare parts stock. In addition, the work carried out by the maintenance crew is recorded.Passenger Flow Organization System
The Passenger Flow Organization System is able to recognize baggage carts. It enables access to certain airport areas baggage carts to be permitted or prevented. The system can be connected to access-control installations such as elevators, escalators, barriers, audio-visual signals or information displays.Anti-Theft Protection System
Whether securing baggage carts or eliminating unnecessary labor or maintenance costs – there are many reasons why airport operators want to prevent baggage carts from going beyond designated boundaries. Often, area boundaries are impossible or impractical to implement by means of wires. The innovative, wireless Anti-Theft Protection System is the ideal way to keep carts within a designated area. Hereby, antennas transmit a digital signal which designates the locking boundary. When a baggage cart approaches this boundary, the front wheel receives the signal and brings the cart to a gradual stop. Locked wheels are released via a handheld remote control or by simply pulling the cart back into the permitted area.
