The Depot Short Message Service System is able to report about up to five different events occurring at each installed baggage cart depot system from anywhere in the airport. For this purpose, an SMS module is fitted in each depot system, which transmits the messages via GSM to a standard SMS-compatible mobile phone.
The possible messages are:

• Bill reader full
• Coin hopper full
• Coin hopper empty
• No baggage carts in the depot system
• Door of cabinet unlocked
